Trajectory
Julia has a solid background in legal practice, with experience in both Criminal Law and Family Law. She began her career at a law firm specialized in Criminal Law, where she took part in various proceedings that gave her first-hand insight into the workings of the criminal justice system.
Over time, she shifted her professional focus toward Family Law, an area in which she has developed deep expertise—particularly in cases involving international child abduction and issues related to Private International Law. Her work is centered on defending the rights of children, adolescents, and families, handling divorce, custody, child support, visitation arrangements, and domestic violence cases from a comprehensive and humane legal perspective.
She has practiced law in several Spanish cities, including Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona, and Madrid, which has enriched her experience across diverse contexts. She is a member of various legal associations related to Family Law and serves on the Young Lawyers Committee of the International Association of Family Law Jurists (AIJUDEFA), where she actively engages in training initiatives, international networks, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Julia was a speaker at AIJUDEFA’s international congress in Buenos Aires and has participated in other legal conferences and events in countries such as Chile, Brazil, and various parts of Latin America and Europe, sharing her expertise in family, children’s rights, and international law.
